                                     ALLERGY TIP FOR AUGUST

Back to school with Asthma:  What should a parent do?  Make sure the school personnel are aware of your child’s asthma.  Have a written Asthma care plan available for the school concerning your child’s medications and how they are administered.  A child with Asthma should be treated “normally” like all of the other children.  Encourage the teachers to allow the child to take his/her medications as required without making it a “big deal.”
